As a Lead Mechanical Engineer specializing in Building Systems Design, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of complex projects. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature Control, and Fire Protection Systems design. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions in the field of building systems engineering.
Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and design efforts for HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature Control, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Perform building load calculations, energy simulation, and analysis to optimize system efficiency.
- Conduct equipment sizing and selection for various building systems.
- Design steam and hydronic heating, chilled water cooling, and ducted air distribution systems.
- Develop Plumbing Systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste, acid waste, and stormwater systems.
- Design Temperature Control Systems with proficiency in pneumatic and electronic actuated systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes in all design activities.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software for accurate and efficient design.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to initiate and coordinate design disciplines, ensuring project success.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities within a team-oriented environment.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment.
- Communicate effectively through well-written documentation and verbal presentations.
- Maintain a Professional Engineer License and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in building system design and construction.
- Strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, Temperature Control, and Fire Protection Systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software
- Professional Engineer License
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
