Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $100,259 - $124,336 annually.
- Bonus eligibility: 10% based on performance.

- Relocation Assistance: Provided for candidates willing to relocate to the Greater Atlanta Area within a reasonable timeframe.
- Location: Greater Atlanta Area (hybrid role).
- Work Arrangement: 2-3 days per week onsite in the Greater Atlanta Area, with flexibility for remote work the remainder of the week.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced engineering professional with a proven background in mechanical systems design, heat pump technology, mechanical design software, and product engineering. As the Lead Mechanical Engineer - Heat Pump Technology, you will play a critical role in advancing HVAC systems with a focus on heat pump solutions. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of HVAC systems, with an emphasis on heat pump technologies, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools to create, test, and optimize system designs.
- Perform advanced calculations in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics to ensure system efficiency and performance.
- Oversee the development and implementation of product solutions that align with organizational goals and market needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including certification, testing, and field application specialists, to ensure product readiness and market success.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Engage with certification agencies and adhere to industry standards such as ASHRAE, UL, AHRI, and Energy Star.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 7 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering, HVAC design, and heat pump technology.
- Expertise in 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks, with familiarity in HVAC-specific tools such as Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE.
- Strong understanding of certification processes, industry standards, and regulatory compliance for HVAC systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven track record of managing multiple projects to successful completion.
