Position Overview:
The Lead Massage Therapist at our holistic wellness spa is responsible for education, leading and providing exceptional massage and specialty body treatments to promote relaxation, overall wellness, and rejuvenation. This role requires an elevated level of expertise in various massage techniques and the ability to deliver personalized experiences tailored to each guest's needs and preferences. In addition to providing massages, the Lead Massage Therapist will also oversee and perform specialty body treatments such as wraps and scrubs, utilizing natural and luxurious products to enhance the spa experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership communication skills, a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and a passion for holistic well-being. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of WorldSprings Spa and the overall wellness journey of our clients in a rejuvenating spa environment.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Provide massage therapy and specialty body treatments to clients, including various massage techniques, based on client preferences, booking, and therapeutic goals.
- Supervise a team of massage therapists, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to ensure they create an elevated, personalized experience and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Oversee the massage therapist schedule, ensuring efficient coverage, adequate breaks, and optimal guest bookings.
- Serve as a point of contact for guests, addressing their needs, concerns, and preferences, and ensuring a positive and consistent guest experience.
- Implement and maintain quality standards for massage therapy and body treatment services, assessing therapists to ensure they follow best practices and provide safe and effective treatments.
- Manage inventory and supplies related to massage therapy, ensuring that massage rooms are adequately equipped.
- Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of massage therapists on the team.
- Work to ensure a high rate of guest satisfaction and retention by delivering consistent, high-quality messages and addressing guests' concerns effectively.
- Enforce safety and sanitation guidelines, adhere to state and local regulations, and ensure the safety and comfort of clients and therapists.
- Maintain accurate client records, including treatment notes and client progress, and ensure all therapists complete proper documentation.
- Set an example of professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and guest confidentiality.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Massage Therapy License
- Several years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, and supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and staff effectively.
- Profound understanding of massage therapy techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Competitive hourly rate plus commissions.
