About the Job
Lauderdale County Agriculture Center Authority is seeking to fill the following position for it Multipurpose Complex scheduled to open in Summer of 2026 on Highway 72, Florence Blvd., Florence, AL 35634
POSITION: Lead Maintenance
STATUS: Part-time/Full-time Negotiable
CLOSING DATE: Until filled
HOURLY PAY/BENEFITS: Negotiable Based on Qualifications/Experience
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLIITIES:
• Conducting inspections and regular maintenance checks on grounds, facilities, and equipment
• Performing repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Directing, coordinating, overseeing, and preparing work orders for repairs, maintenance or installations required to be performed by others
• Initiating and completing preventative maintenance procedures
• Supervising maintenance staff and assigning tasks
• Groundskeeping and coordinating grounds crew
• Overseeing ordering and stocking of operating supplies
• Developing and implementing maintenance plans
• Responding to emergency calls and taking appropriate action
• Performing tasks in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical maintenance, drywall repair and painting
• Obtaining working knowledge and familiarity of facility and facility systems, structure, interiors and exteriors, and grounds
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS:
• 5+ years related experience
• 2+ years management experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree
• Knowledge of computers
• Strong maintenance, plumbing, electrical background, and troubleshooting
• Background in maintenance management or a similar role preferred
• In-depth understanding of maintenance best practices, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and their implementation
