We are seeking a creative and dynamic Lead Landscape Designer with a passion for creating outdoor spaces that blend functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics. As part of our team, you will be involved in all phases of the design process, from conceptual design to construction documentation. This role requires a deep understanding of landscape architecture principles, excellent design skills, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in producing high-quality design solutions, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a lead, this position will be client-facing and also encompass sales functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop innovative design concepts for a variety of projects including parks, residential communities, commercial properties, and public spaces.
2. Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
3. Create detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other design software.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and planners to integrate landscape designs into overall project plans.
5. Conduct site analyses, including the assessment of soil, vegetation, and lighting conditions.
6. Oversee the implementation of design plans to ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.
7. Continually stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in landscape architecture.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in landscape design.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, and other relevant design software.
4. Exceptional design skills, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects.
5. Strong knowledge of plants, materials, and construction techniques used in landscape architecture.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey design ideas to clients and team members.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Professional registration as a Landscape Architect is a plus.
9. Passion for sustainable design and a commitment to creating environmentally friendly landscapes.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
