What You’ll Do
The Lead IT Operations Specialist is a senior member of IT Support responsible for IT Operations managing multiple systems and tools. Focused on key systems/applications within Payment Services - PULSE. Provides technical direction to the team and works with other BT teams to integrate support procedures as systems are brought online or enhanced. Trains junior team members. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. This role is great for those trying to progress in their technology career, and it provides great exposure to several critical applications and business teams. Team members will gain invaluable knowledge of our applications, develop subject matter expertise, and be enabled to grow within the team, or into SREs/Application Engineers.
How You’ll Do It
- Provide 24x7 On-call support (rotation)
- Owns and maintains disaster recovery/business continuity plans
- Participates in strategic technology decisions and fills role of subject matter expert in operational readiness/operational excellence and support of new systems and services
- Proactively identifies and mitigates issues based on experience with mission critical technologies
- Coaches technology and business communities. Provides ongoing training related to systems and operational readiness and support
- End to end ownership of Production systems quality, availability and stability through proper change management and incident management.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation
- Develops and implements operational processes
- Acts as a liaison between technology and business teams
- Provides technical leadership to team. subject matter expert on key systems and management tools/systems. Provides Operational requirements to BT teams
- Participants on product design and system selection
- Mentors other team members
- Collaborates with Business and BT partners to ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met
- Works with Business partners, operations, product/applications teams, and project managers to develop process and procedures for operational readiness
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or related
- 4+ years of experience in IT Computer Operations, IT Customer Service, or related
- In lieu of educational experience, 6+ years of experience in IT Computer Operations, IT Customer Service, or related
Physical And Cognitive Requirements
- Primarily remain in a stationary position.
- No required movement about the work environment to complete the major responsibilities of the job.
- Primarily performed indoors in an office setting.
- Ability to operate office equipment such as but not limited to computer, telephone, printer, and calculator.
- Ability to communicate verbally.; Ability to communicate in written form.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
- 6+ years of experience in IT Computer Operations, IT Customer Service or related
- ITIL certification
- Experience with SharePoint and LucidChart.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Moogsoft, Tableau, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk
- Experience and familiarity with network technology and operations
- Unix and Bash scripting knowledge
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team motivator, and team leader.
- Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical business partners.
- Proficient in monitoring, alerting, analyzing and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems
- Experience in production support and problem management

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $77,500.00 to $131,500.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.Benefits:
