About the Job
Our client, a successful second-generation independent family business, is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a highly skilled Lead Inspector to join their team. Specializing in fire protection systems, the company has expanded its workforce from 25 to 42 employees in the last five years and is now looking for an experienced professional to help them continue this momentum.
As a Lead Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting fire alarm and related systems across various structures, including multifamily residences, mixed-use commercial properties, assisted living facilities, and high-rise buildings. Your role will also involve mentoring an apprentice, playing a key part in developing the next generation of experts in this field.
With most accounts located north of I-90, you will have the opportunity to call on multiple accounts per day if they’re small or manage larger, multi-day inspections. Additionally, you will occasionally collaborate with other trades working on related systems. The company offers a guaranteed 80 hours per pay period, along with industry-leading compensation, which can be further enhanced if you are available for service calls.

Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of fire alarm and related systems in multifamily, commercial, assisted living, and high-rise structures.
- Mentor and guide an apprentice, ensuring the transfer of knowledge and skills.
- Manage multiple inspections daily for smaller accounts, or oversee large, multi-day inspections.
- Collaborate with other trades on projects involving related systems.
- Adhere to and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure thorough and accurate inspections.
- Maintain organization, punctuality, and professionalism on all job sites.
- Perform service calls as needed, with potential for additional compensation.
Qualifications
- NICET II certification and O6 Electrical license required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in fire protection system inspections.
- Positive, family-friendly attitude with a strong fit for a collaborative and supportive culture.
- Ability to follow directions and accept feedback constructively.
- Highly organized, punctual, and able to lead by example.
