Lead HVAC Service Technician - American Air Heating & Air Conditioning

YOUR DAY

As our Lead HVAC Service Technician, you drive your team's success, improve efficiency, increase profitability, and meet revenue goals. You ensure all techs are properly trained and ready to provide great customer service. As needed, you offer in-field assistance and answer questions over the phone. Attentively, you demonstrate how to select diagnostic and repair charges from our flat rate book. You also help techs obtain required certifications and take care of warranty issues. You're motivated to drive revenue, and you work with our service manager to identify and implement cost-saving measures.

This isn't just a leadership role, as you also get out in the field to diagnose and repair our customers' heating and air conditioning equipment. Reporting to the first call of the day, you keep your vehicle clean, your tools organized, and your inventory well-stocked with supplies. You thoroughly explain equipment issues and service options to clients and gain their approval before performing the appropriate solutions. As you work, you properly document your services and the parts used so we can bill the client correctly. You inform clients about maintenance agreements and recommend new equipment when appropriate. To improve performance, you review callbacks, conduct technician ride-a-longs, and lead in-house training classes and seminars. Your efforts promote a positive company image and take our field service to the next level!

YOUR HOURS

Our Lead HVAC Service Technician works Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some nights and weekends may be required.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of relevant experience in customer service and service industry management OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience making repair and replacement decisions
• NATE certification
• Skill set of a Level 4 or above technician
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with various equipment and ability to safely operate machinery like scissor lifts
• Basic sheet metal knowledge
• Ability to perform load calculations and knowledge of air balancing principles
• Leadership skills and willingness to take accountability
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Computer proficiency
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
