About the Role
Forge is seeking an experienced residential HVAC heat pump installer with sheet metal experience to lead a crew dedicated to designing, fabricating, and installing ducted systems in the Eastern MA region. This is a working leadership role, where you"ll bring your HVAC expertise to ensure the correct fabrication, installation and startup of systems. You"ll be responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving during system startup and will mentor junior installers to deliver high-quality work.
The anticipated pay range for this role is $50-$65 USD per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are open to negotiating compensation packages for highly or overqualified candidates that have a proven track record of success in similar roles.
What You Will Do:
- Sheet Metal Fabrication & HVAC System Installation: You will use your extensive sheet metal and system design knowledge and will be responsible for ductwork fabrication and installation. You will independently conduct on-site installations and start-up of ducted and ductless systems with precision and efficiency.
- Leadership & Mentorship: You will lead and mentor junior crew members, sharing your expertise and contributing to team success.
- Professionalism & Customer Service: You will maintain a professional attitude with customers, partners, peers, and vendors at all times and will be responsible for providing quality service to our customers.
- Quality Control: You will conduct quality control checks on completed jobs to ensure work meets industry standards and client requirements. You will also troubleshoot and perform repairs and replacements on HVAC systems.
- Safety, Organization & Documentation: You will ensure site safety and compliance with codes. You'll keep an assigned company vehicle organized, clean, and stocked and will maintain project and customer documentation. You will also be expected to be professional and prompt in your communication with office project coordinators, warehouse staff and other peers/colleagues.
Your Qualifications
- 8+ years experience as a residential HVAC Installer, installing both ductless and ducted systems
- A comprehensive understanding of HVAC equipment, installation, repair, air flow and system design
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience training junior technicians and running a crew/jobs soup-to-nuts
- EPA Certification
- Able to work in attics and small spaces, lift 50+ pounds, stand, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, etc.
- Valid driver"s license
- Available to work full-time with flexibility to work after hours if needed
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bonuses: Ability to estimate and quote jobs & Sheet Metal License - not required, but highly desired
