This position will be based at our Shafter, CA office and is fully onsite, Monday through Friday.
Job DescriptionThe Healthcare Data Analyst Manager will use clinical, operational, and financial data to measure organizational performance and guide continuous improvement efforts to maximize clinic efficiency and population health improvement. This Healthcare Data Analyst Manager position requires knowledge of EMRs, experience with clinical operations, and data analytics. The ideal candidate would be a sharp analytical thinker who is eager to play a role in transforming healthcare through data; strategy consulting is a plus.
This Healthcare Data Analyst Manager position reports directly to the Senior Manager for Data Analytics alongside frequent engagement with the Chief Medical Officer.
- Conduct regular and ad hoc health data reporting in support of day-to-day, monthly, and annual clinic operations
- Design, build, and maintain reporting tools using data from our Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Epic, to support health-related data-driven decision making at all levels, from front-line staff to executive leadership, as well as to support company-wide Health Benefits planning and tracking
- Support clinic operations by developing standard processes for data-related use of the EMR in daily work
- Train clinical staff on data-related use of the EMR and standard processes, as well as develop processes to audit flow to ensure standard work and data accuracy for both short-term and long-term reporting
- Liaise with Health IT vendors used by the clinic in support of data analytics
- Review quarterly updates released by the EMR system and ensure they are tested, communicated to staff, and optimized for use by clinic staff
- Proactively identify areas for improvement across health and wellness programs and coordinate solutions with staff, implementing necessary measures to gauge efficacy as part of continuous improvement cycles
- Use health care analytics to mine clinical data to measure clinic efficiency and opportunities for improved patient experience, treatment, and cost reduction, including necessary historical data cleanup
- Develop and share presentations to communicate findings to team members at all levels, from the clinic floor to the board room
- Maintain data privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by clinical and CSR leadership
- Requires travel between our clinics in the Central Valley (Lost Hills & Delano, CA)
- Bachelor's degree required with preferred concentration in data analytics, business, public health, marketing, or statistics
- Master's degree preferred, preferably in health or data related
- Certified health data analyst Certification or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience with data analysis, report design, and project management
- Experience with SQL/database querying and Excel
- Experience with Epic and its related reporting systems, including business objects, Clarity, and Javelin
- Strong project management skills, having managed and successfully completed diverse projects preferred
- Basic financial acumen and experience in population health or clinical data analysis strongly preferred
- Demonstrated passion for improving the healthcare system and helping underserved communities

- Pay Range: $110,000 - $125,000 and is eligible for a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
