Our company is looking for a Lead Graphic Designer with three to five years of experience in graphic design to add to our nationwide team. New Home Star is the largest privately owned seller of new homes in America. As a member of our marketing team, you have the opportunity to support our corporate office and our new home builder partners to sell more homes more profitably. Our Corporate Support Office is located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst and is not your typical “corporate” setting. Pay Structure & Benefits
- $58,000 Salary + Biannual Bonus opportunities.
- Paid time off- vacation time, paid sick and safe time(PSST), and paid company holidays.

Requirements
New Home Star is seeking a motivated, educated, goal-oriented professional to join our team. If you fit the requirements below, you are an ideal match for this position!
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter who is committed to innovation, meeting tight deadlines, and producing high-quality, pixel-perfect work.
- Successfully mentor, coach, and collaborate with junior graphic designers in a team environment.
- Provides a strong portfolio demonstrating examples of typography, effective layouts, professional branding, and modern design styles. Portfolio should showcase a high level of creativity, versatility, and attention to detail across both print and digital platforms.
- Deep understanding of how to create and refine compelling branding (such as logos and brand guidelines) to build an emotional connection with clients.
- Exceptional proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Proficient computer knowledge/skills (i.e., MS Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Capable of creating print, web, web banner, e-blast, social media campaigns and collateral.
- 3-5 years of experience in a graphic design role is required.
- Bachelor's degree in design or a creative field required.
- 1-2 years experience in mentorship is preferred.
- Agency experience and direct client-facing experience are preferred.
- Ability to work in-person two days per week in the Elmhurst, IL corporate office is required.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Manager, Marketing Director, and other designers and project leads.
- Collaborate closely with clients, presenting design concepts and effectively communicating the rationale behind creative choices.
- Coordinate with project managers and other project leads to ensure smooth project workflow and timely delivery.
Administrative
- Maintain workflow within our project management system.
- Attend weekly review/status meetings.
- Research and analyze appropriate design options for client requests.
- Aid in the evaluation of marketing goals and successes.
Design
- Perform effectively as a member of the project team.
- Maintain collateral update requests for both digital and print applications.
- Design marketing/sales assets for new marketing initiatives. Timely, aesthetic, accurate, and error
- free work product is paramount.
- Develop brand identities for new home communities, builder clients, and new internal divisions.
- Lead builder brand identity and brand manual updates
Leadership
- Mentor and lead Junior Graphic Designers.
- Assist with team member performance assessments and the creation of development strategies.
- Assist with facilitating graphic designer workshops.
- Assist in traffic management of design projects.
Any other responsibilities consistent with the Lead Graphic Designer position.
