Lead Firmware Development Engineer - EVONA

We are seeking an experienced Lead Firmware Engineer to join a Denver based Satellites company, focused on developing next-generation radar satellites company

You will lead firmware development, particularly for FPGAs, from architecture through to final deployment.

Lead Firmware Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test firmware for advanced FPGA-based sensor products.
• Oversee the firmware lifecycle: from requirements gathering to implementation and integration
• Work with high-performance FPGAs (Xilinx Ultrascale+, etc.), transceivers, and associated tools like Vivado
• Ensure firmware quality assurance using a CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with software QA engineers.
• Lead cross-functional teams and conduct design reviews to optimize system performance.

Lead Firmware Engineer Requirements:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in firmware development, particularly FPGA design and high-speed transceivers (PCIE, 10GigE).
• Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog and experience with Agile development practices.
• Experience in embedded systems, Python scripting, and Linux environments.
