Job Description
The Lead Estimator for Disposal, Treatment and Pipeline projects is responsible for overseeing and managing the estimation process for all facility and pipeline-related projects. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project scope to provide accurate cost estimates and ensure the successful execution of projects within budget.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Lead the development of detailed and accurate cost estimates for disposal and pipeline projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, supply chain, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for comprehensive estimates.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring they align with client requirements and project specifications, and update estimates and proposals as necessary in response to bid documents and scope changes.
- Leverage current pricing agreements with key vendor partnerships, where applicable, to drive cost savings and standardization across all project types.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes ensuring they are in line with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with supply chain team to ensure competitive and precise pricing, while identifying opportunities for cost savings and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project objectives and constraints.
- Monitor project costs and performance against estimates to identify and address any discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bid submissions, and project cost data.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estimating for disposal and pipeline projects.
- Strong understanding of disposal and pipeline construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Must be willing to travel to remote locations and spend considerable time at field locations as required.
- Position works inside a climate-controlled environment a majority of the time.
- Traditional Monday through Friday, 8 – 5 pm, unless operational tempo and requirements dictate otherwise.
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 25 lbs.
