The Lead Esthetician is responsible for creating an environment that maintains and exceeds standards of excellence in guest services, client retention skills, staff technical proficiency, staff retention, and professional recommendations. You will go through an extensive FACE FOUNDRIÉ training and development system to learn our bespoke service protocols and techniques, and how to train others. The Lead Esthetician reports directly to the Salon Manager. This is a leadership and career growth opportunity to join a new and exciting brand. Along with the Salon Manager, initially you’ll comprise the senior management of the Stamford location. As FACE FOUNDRIÉ expands, you’ll have the exposure to meaningfully shape its growth in Fairfield County and the northeast region of the country over the next several years while advancing your career. Over that time frame, this position has the potential to advance to a Salon Manager or an Aesthetics Manager covering several salon doors at once.
Lead Esthetician Responsibilities Include:
Team Management and Leadership
- Create and promote a fun, energetic, honest and compassionate environment from day one in adherence to FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s Core Values (please see attached). In tandem with the Salon Manager, cultivate a culture of ownership and results.
- Together with Salon Manager, responsible for all personnel management including recruitment, service and product knowledge, loss prevention, performance, safety and legal compliance.
- Responsible for training of new hires and ongoing training of current staff to ensure their confidence and excellence in service protocols, product knowledge, sales and compliance.
- Lead with warmth and positivity while holding team members accountable to standards and goals. Regularly coach, counsel and develop esthetician staff and skills to increase their productivity and professional growth.
- Show gratitude and celebrate small wins.
- Together with the Salon Manager, hold the esthetician team accountable for hitting benchmarks including service sales, membership goals, product sales and rebooks.
- Identify opportunities for team growth such as staffing, scheduling and coaching. Identify and implement professional development needs for each staff member.
- Assist the Salon Manager in conducting regular performance reviews.
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
- Ensures all staff technical service and product trainings are attended.
- Along with Salon Manager, conduct esthetician verbal and technical interviews, able to identify appropriate talents needed for the Salon’s growth.
Operations
- Demonstrate and oversee exceptional service and image standards, consistently executing FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s expectations to ensure clients receive an extraordinary and memorable experience.
- Responsible for performing services on guests and leading team by example in service excellence. Able to maintain personal productivity standards.
- Build and foster relationships with clients to drive conversion and retention. Address client issues and concerns, providing resolutions in a warm, timely and professional manner.
- Assist Salon Manager to ensure that the store is client and inspection ready, from staff to products and supplies.
- Assist the Salon Manager in creating, maintaining and optimizing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours, make staff cuts when needed, meet utilization goals, and manage labor cost effectively.
- Assist Salon Manager with managing retail and professional inventory.
- Assist the team as needed with social media and marketing content, events, pop-ups, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements
- An understanding, alignment and aspiration to FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s Core Values and the “Who Are You?” sections attached.
- Minimum 2+ years of esthetician experience, with at least 1+ years of leadership and management experience in a salon or similar type setting.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or client service business, including management of hourly workers a plus. Interest in beauty a must. Active esthetician’s license required.
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, proactive and anticipatory. Attention to detail. Curious, flexible, and open mindset. Receives and gives feedback effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of being sales driven, customer service centric, and people management oriented.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, providing exceptional hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as listening skills.
- Strong organization skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize within a fast- paced environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google (Sheets, Docs).
- Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule: must have weekend, holiday, and some early morning/late evening weekday availability to be on-site. Willingness to travel as needed to other FACE FOUNDRIÉ’ locations, overnight to corporate headquarters, and offsites.

- Base Salary: Based on experience before commissions and bonuses with eligibility for paid time off, sick leave and holidays. Paid regardless of client bookings.
