Tactical Aerospace is a premier supplier for aerospace and avionics systems. We design, develop and manufacture avionics, mission computers, payloads, sensors, AI systems, and test/training systems for defense systems.
Objectives of this Role:
- Work with multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians in the execution of complex R&D programs in support of national security.
- Position may require additional hours to meet project schedules.
- Interaction with technical staff and customers; interpretation of project technical and management data.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Collaborate directly with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to develop printed circuit boards and interconnect systems for PCBs in support of MIL-SPEC avionics flight electronic hardware.
- Will work in a team environment as well as independently to complete assigned tasks with direct supervision.
- Responsibilities include development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Library component generation. Requires PCB design experience.
Requirements:
- Requires a High School diploma or equivalent degree with continued education, certifications, or Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology or related with related experience
- AS degree or Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related is preferred
- Must have IPC-Certified Interconnect Design (CID) basic
- CID+ (advanced) certification preferred
- 25 years of experience is required without a Bachelors degree
- 6-10 years is required with a Bachelors degree
- Advanced working knowledge of Mentor Graphics PADS Professional, and/or Xpedition is required
- Basic understanding of configuration management and electronic development methods is required
- Prior knowledge of IPC standards, Digital, Mixed Signal, and RF electronics PWB designs
- A strong understanding of Signal Integrity as well as a mechanical aptitude is beneficial
- Interconnect principles and practices designing low level and complex PWB designs is beneficial
- A valid/clear driver's license is required
