REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field IT, engineering, or technical field. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience allowed in lieu of degree.
- Ten (10) years' experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scope including the following 9 capability areas: NIPRNET, SIPRNET, WiFi, Voice Modernization, Mission Command, Outside Plant, Inside Plant, Data Centers, and Technical Control Facilities.
- At least one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or an Approved vendor equivalent.
- Must meet DoD Approved 8570 certification requirements for IAT-III.
- DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or an industry-recognized leader in DevOps.
- Active Top Secret; eligible for SCI
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead Engineer to support a complex, multi-year contract to modernize mission-critical US Army IT, Network and Cybersecurity infrastructure across several sites in the Continental US. The Lead Engineer reports directly to the Program Manager and leads the Survey, Design, and Engineering efforts including but not limited to: Classified and Controlled Unclassified IP Networking, Wireless, Voice, Audio/Visual, and Data Center technologies, Outside Plant (OSP), and Inside Plant (ISP) capabilities. Leads a team of SMEs to perform detailed site surveys, engineer, and design for IT modernization projects at multiple simultaneous locations within the continental United States. This position is co-located with the US Army Program Office located on Ft. Belvoir.
Responsibilities:
- Program Focal point for all engineering efforts.
- Manages engineering resources and ensures engineering deliverables meet all standards to deliver products of the highest quality that are standardized, correct, consistent, and cohesive within the overall program and satisfy customer's requirements.
- Coordinates all engineering efforts, including Site Survey Report and Engineering Implementation Plan deliverables, so that all requirements are considered and assessed, resulting in synchronized, standardized, secure end-state solution solutions.
- The LEA delegates responsibilities to Senior Engineering Staff as required.
- Senior Engineering Staff works closely to coordinate all projects and are cognizant of factors that may impact deliverables.
