We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded firmware development, particularly in bare metal firmware programming. You will be working with a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement firmware for our next-generation products.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware for our products.
2. Work closely with the hardware engineering team to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware.
3. Develop firmware in C/C++ for bare metal and RTOS environments.
4. Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus, SPI, RS485, and CAN Bus J1939.
5. Use version control systems like Git and SVN for software development.
6. Work with NXP processors, motor drives, DSPs, and permanent magnet motors.
7. Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, and provide solutions to enhance system performance.
8. Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
10. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
3. Proficient in C/C++ programming.
4. Experience with bare metal firmware programming.
5. Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, SPI, RS485, and CAN Bus J1939.
6. Experience with version control systems like Git and SVN.
7. Familiarity with NXP processors, motor drives, DSPs, and permanent magnet motors.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot firmware issues.
9. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
10. Ability to lead a team and mentor junior engineers.
