Role Overview:
As a Lead Database Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our database infrastructure. Your expertise will drive the development of robust database solutions while providing guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate in defining and maintaining database standards, controls, and procedures.
Develop and implement applications to address database challenges, offering insightful recommendations for optimal database environments.
Lead technical aspects of project release upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and providing mentorship to junior administrators.
Maintain, implement, and document shell scripts and batch processes, ensuring seamless operation.
Essential Functions:
Maintain and document shell scripts and batch processes to streamline operations.
Lead technical aspects of project release upgrades, ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Develop and deploy applications to tackle database-related issues, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Proactively implement techniques to prevent system problems and troubleshoot incidents when they arise.
Design, implement, and maintain databases to support organizational needs.
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to junior administrators, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in full data management responsibilities.
Proficiency in SQL performance and tuning, with advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train others.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and similar databases, along with expertise in structured query language (SQL).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced SQL performance and tuning skills.
Familiarity with Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, and similar databases.
Additional Requirements:
Must disclose any ineligibility to work on Federal healthcare programs.
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
