- Leads and oversees the daily duties of assigned staff within a designated department.
- the role supports the front desk teams with patient schedules, escalation and general team support.
This location has 16 providers, which on a regular day is an average of 20 patients per provider. - Provides guidance and training to assigned staff responsible for admitting, registering, scheduling and verifying patient insurance policies.
- Handles customer account transactions, provides customer assistance, and performs and/or oversees cashiering operations.
- Participates and monitors the revenue cycle to ensure completion of charge tickets. Reports discrepancies to appropriate authorities.
- Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of directly related experience
- Medical Terminology
- Medical Office Experience
Preferred Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in related field of study
- Ability to type and enter data efficiently and accurately
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of office procedures
- Knowledge of insurance plans
- Skilled in a variety of software applications
