Position Title: Lead Controls Technician
Position Description: The Lead Controls Technician serves as a team leader in the electrical assembly process for automation equipment. This electrician is responsible for panel building and wiring of electrical components used on automation equipment projects. The Lead Controls Technician will oversee the Electrical Controls Technician team on projects. The markets we serve vary from automotive, consumer goods, health & medical, aerospace, and more.
Lead Responsibilities
- Lead team members on multiple projects.
- Ensure projected timeline is achieved by monitoring progression.
- Communicate with the project team on open issues and progress during the build process.
- Ability to train other team members.
- Ability to plan a project successfully.
- Order Material required for project(s).
Electrical Team Member Responsibilities
- Assemble equipment wiring and electrical controls according to approved design and customer specifications.
- Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.
- Assist with the successful execution of equipment builds including cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
- Effectively and safely troubleshoot wiring and circuits.
- Read and understand schematics.
- Travel for install and runoffs with customer.
- Identify electrical problems and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary.
- Work cross-functionally with all departments during all phases of the project including de-bug and runoff.
Experience Required
- Willingness to travel up to 20% per year locally and nationally.
- 3 years of electrical experience with custom automated machinery.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in wiring complex mechanical components.
- Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs: One note, Excel, Word.
- High regard for safety standards.
Salary: $26-$36/hour (Dependent on Experience)
