We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experienced engineers to help develop their skills.

As a Lead Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC's business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experienced engineers to help develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specificconfiguration of control system, and control algorithms.
- Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming,and implementation.
- Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
- Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
- Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.
- Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers' needs are met.
- Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
- Support of functional testing for complex building systems.
- Jobsite visits if necessary to aid in project support.
- Adherence to safety standards. High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
- Adherence to ethics standards. Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of HVAC controls or Building Automation experience
- Possess and maintain valid and current form of government issued identification.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of HVAC controls or Building Automation experience OR Associate Degree with 6+ years ofHVAC controls or Building Automation experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of HVAC controls or Building Automation experience.
- Advanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
- Proficient with primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of complex Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
- Proficient with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
- Understanding with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Visio, or similar software.
- Proficient with written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.
- Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
