This opportunity requires someone with experience on the following types of projects: commercial repaint projects, including restaurants, hotels, resorts, industrial buildings, shopping centers, churches, schools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- EXCELLENT communication between crew and office personal, as well as, with daily customer updates.
- Always on time with your crew, dressed in appropriate apparel
- Organize and direct crew to complete painting in a timely and efficient manner.
- Able to read and understand a written scope of work, color list, and organize job accordingly.
- Able to follow written and spoken specifications to complete project by performing the work and directing crew.
- Be knowledgeable of safety rules, site safety and ensure crew is adhering to safety policies at all times.
- Lead crew in interior/exterior painting working at all heights, using ladders, lifts, swing stage, scaffold, harness and/or other fall protection methods.
- Provide surface protection to ensure all areas are protected before painting. Recording any existing problems.
- Use and look for best painting techniques on job to produce high quality and efficient painting.
- Consistently perform site clean up to leave job sites tidy at the end of the day. Pickup of materials as needed.
- Take inventory and confirm of all materials and tools are on site for next day.
- Provide production manager with a daily progress report, concerns, and any changes discussed with staff or customer.
- Exhibit professional demeanor at all times and represents the company while at client job sites.
- Track time by task as needed for billing purposes. Save receipts and submit all paperwork to office for billing purposes in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current driver's license. Must have reliable transportation and valid insurance. Position will travel to and from job sites and as needed in the Puget Sound Area.
- Five + years’ experience in the painting industry, preferably with experience on large commercial projects including experience successfully managing crews of at least three (3) people.
- Expert in various finishes and paint applications.
- Meticulous, clean, detail oriented and takes pride in work.
- Proactive attitude and do not hesitate to ask questions and get clarification as needed.
- Must speak, read, and write English at least an intermediate level.
- Proven track record of successfully managing jobs in the field to completion. Experience in tracking time, materials and change orders highly desired.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with some Saturdays and some nights depending on the project.
