Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the CNC department, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
- Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines, primarily HAAS mills, to produce precision parts.
- Create and modify CAMworks programs to optimize production processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of machinists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement new machining processes.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure their longevity and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, particularly HAAS mills.
- Extensive experience with CAMworks.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using measuring and inspection tools.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
