Job Summary:
Join Sims Exteriors and Remodeling as a Lead Finish Carpenter and take a pivotal role in steering our projects towards excellence. You'll lead a skilled team of carpenters, ensuring high-quality finish carpentry that consistently exceeds client expectations. This role demands not just craftsmanship but leadership in managing daily site operations and mentoring the team to foster skill development and job site safety.
- Team Leadership and Project Oversight: Manage a team of carpenters, organize job sites for optimal safety and efficiency, and closely collaborate with project managers to execute detailed work scopes accurately.
- Finish Carpentry Expertise: Execute high-level finish carpentry tasks, including the precise installation of cabinetry, crown molding, railings, doors, windows, and fixtures.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide on-the-job training to newer carpenters, enhancing their skills while promoting Sims' standards of quality and safety.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce stringent safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to best practices to maintain a secure working environment.
- Professional Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, upholding professionalism and Sims' reputation in all interactions.
- Minimum of 5 years of finish carpentry experience with demonstrated expertise in high-end installations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing construction or carpentry teams.
- Strong technical proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to finish carpentry.
- Excellent ability to interpret and execute plans from blueprints and project documents.
- High standards of communication, able to coordinate effectively with both internal team members and external parties.
- Multitasking ability and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines with precision.
- Dependable, motivated, and punctual with a valid driver's license.
