Job Details:
- Position: Lead Carpenter (FT)
- Compensation: $32.40 to $41.60 per hour
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Position Summary: As a Lead Carpenter at Barrier Construction, your role is crucial in managing and executing a range of carpentry tasks, from addressing water damage to general carpentry work, including roofing, siding, window, door, and cabinet installation. By leading teams and coordinating with subcontractors, you ensure our projects progress smoothly from start to finish.
Requirements:
- 3 Years of hands-on carpentry experience, Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position
- Strong understanding of construction, repair, and restoration practices, particularly in water-damaged environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents accurately.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision in all tasks.
- Ability to meet with city inspectors and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Solid work ethic and attendance
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and execute work according to blueprints and construction plans.
- Attend pre-construction meetings with clients and key subcontractors to ensure project readiness.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and measurements
- Provide daily communication updates to the office manager and project manager
- Create the final punch list of items remaining to close out a project
- Final site clean-up, ensuring a pristine and orderly project handover.
- Conduct the final inspection with city inspectors, securing necessary approvals and compliance with local regulations.
