WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?:
Responsibilities
As our Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor, you'll have be at the helm of the day-to-day bar operations. You'll also assist in shift supervision of the restaurant, as a manager-on-duty. These are the results our Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor will be hired to accomplish:

In this position, you'll learn the ropes as our Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor first. But you'll have the first opportunity to move into a Beverage Manager role by the end of the year, when our new restaurant opens!
Pay
The base hourly rate for this position is $18 - $20, depending on experience. With tips, our Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor will average anywhere from $28 - $35 / hour. Base pay is based on relevant experience. Tips are guaranteed every week, and are based on skill level, shifts worked, and how busy we are - the busier, the better!
Work Schedule
This position is full-time, with a semi-set schedule that allows for flexibility. Days off are typically scheduled back-to-back. Our Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor will work 4-5 days, and typically 25-30 hours per week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Here are some of our must-haves + would-like-to-haves:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- At least 3 years of restaurant experience in a Bartender role, with a craft cocktail focus
- At least 1 years of restaurant experience in a Lead Bartender / Bar Supervisor role, or similar, preferred
- A valid driver's license & sole access to a personal vehicle
- Familiarity w/ Toast & MarginEdge a plus!

Wooden Paddle is a communal, wood-fired pizzeria with artsy cocktails & good-time energy. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take our food, drinks, and hospitality extremely seriously.
And we're growing! We're opening up another Wooden Paddle in La Grange in late 2024, 200-seat event venue (named Remi!) in late 2024, and a rooftop bar late 2026. Opportunities for growth are everywhere here!
