Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Starting Wage: $55K per year (experience required)

Flexible 5 day work schedule

(Mon-Fri, holiday's off)

Summary of Position:

The mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Starkey Inc. fleet. The duties include diagnosing and evaluating vehicles, follow up preventative maintenance schedule, maintain and repair the fleet vehicles and transportation equipment, including oil changes, A/C service, brake service, engine and electrical service for all vehicles. The mechanic will also be responsible for repair on specialty vehicle equipment in including wheelchair lifts on paratransit buses.

• Diagnose and repair company vehicles to ensure employees and persons served can drive away feeling safe and comfortable.
• Work as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectively.

• Work on a wide range of vehicles from minivans to paratransit buses.
• Represent the organization professionally at all times and promote a high standard of safety in the transportation department.

Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's license with CDL or willing to obtain CDL.
• ASE certification preferred in one or more of the following areas:
• Brakes
• Heating and Air Conditioning
• Suspension and steering
• Automatic Transmission and Transaxle
• Engine Performance
• Engine Repair
