Job Title: Lead Architect
Responsibilities of the Lead Architect
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Lead Architectsupporting the U.S. Army in Radford, VA.
The Lead Architect will:
- Work with Government engineers to develop and maintain the architecture.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to all engineers supporting the project to comply with the defined architecture.
- Promote automation and DevOps processes across the team.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and best practices are incorporated into the architecture.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of any hosting platform issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements for implementation.
- Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and computer services and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of hands-on experience or Master's Degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
- Senior-level architectural experience at the enterprise level.
- Strong automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack – network, storage, server, and applications.
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) – preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ Certified
- Active Security Clearance
