Position Overview
As a member of the Corporate Total Rewards Team, the Lead Analyst, Benefits COE contributes to the evaluation, selection, delivery and communication of engaging, meaningful benefit programs globally in support of our corporate objective to offer competitive health and welfare benefits and time away programs to attract and retain top employee talent, promote employee engagement, and foster employee wellbeing. As a member of the benefits team, this individual contributor will work effectively with internal stakeholders such as Total Rewards team members, HR Operations and HRIS Teams, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Legal, and other colleagues.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Explore country specific concepts, develop strategies, and recommend benefits plan design changes in support of business and talent strategy. Apply extensive knowledge of theories, practices, and design to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
- Work closely with Global Benefits Operations to ensure benefit and time away plan design can be operationalized.
- Liaise and coordinate with benefit brokers, providers, and Legal Counsel.
- Research healthcare delivery models and strategies and analyze competitive market data and best practices for U.S. Benefit plans and programs.
- Build and manage vendor (consultants, brokers, and benefit providers) relationships including defining expectations and monitoring vendor performance and effectiveness in accordance with expectations and service level agreements.
- Develop benefits communication strategies to ensure candidates and employees have a clear understanding of the company’s benefits offerings to influence optimal utilization. Draft employee communications and education materials.
- Support benefit program governance and operational compliance goals and deliverables.
- Assist Benefits Analytics in defining benchmarking strategy and providing input to designated benchmark surveys.
- Prepare recommendations and present to the U.S. Benefits Committee, as necessary.
- Participate in RFPs for benefits vendors and ensure legal, privacy and information security reviews are completed for selected vendor contracts.
- Lead benefit plan renewal processes across international markets, as needed.
- Lead the creation of time away policies for specific countries as needed, including leave of absence programs across by working closely with consultants, legal and outside counsel. Ensure policies meet statutory requirements and are compliant with collective bargaining agreements as applicable. Ensure global consistency and internal compliance.
- Stay abreast of new benefits legislation and trends.
- Lead or participate in other benefits-related projects and initiatives.
- Assist in due diligence activities for potential acquisitions, as needed, and support benefit integration
- activities of acquisitions.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for
- approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability and means to travel between Exact Sciences locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or other relevant concentration.
- 8+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of U.S. employee benefits.
- Experience working for a global/ multinational company
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations/statutory obligations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or project administration of global employee benefits program.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Certification in Benefits (e.g., CEBS).
Salary Range:
$109,000.00 - $174,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
