LCS Procurement Logistician
Position Summary:
LCE is looking for qualified Procurement Logistician to work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all material and services necessary to support Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Preventive Maintenance Availability (PMAV) Program are procured, documented, and managed effectively and efficiently. As a Procurement Logistician, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and Program Manager.

Position Summary:
LCE is looking for qualified Procurement Logistician to work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all material and services necessary to support Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Preventive Maintenance Availability (PMAV) Program are procured, documented, and managed effectively and efficiently. As a Procurement Logistician, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and Program Manager.
Clearance Required:
- Must have the ability to obtain Active Secret Security clearance and be capable of obtaining base access.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing purchasing procedures required to fulfill the procurement, inventory, and distribution of required components
- Serve as the point of contact with vendors and suppliers
- Serve as the point person for the solicitation and preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and Request for Information (RFIs)
- Create and execute Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in CostPoint consistent with contract requirements
- Conduct price analysis, cost analysis and negotiation of proposals; fact finding in RFIs
- Assist in administering contracts, control costs, and ensure on-time delivery in accordance with program requirements
- Track outstanding parts, and conduct follow-up with vendors to achieve an on time delivery in support of planned maintenance during schedule maintenance periods
- Utilize the Navy's Planned Maintenance System to identify required logistical support required, i.e. maintenance materials and repair parts
- Utilize MS Excel and other spreadsheet applications to assist Operations Manager with the creation and management of purchase orders
- Other Duties as Assigned
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Deltek
- Experience with MS Excel and spreadsheet applications
- Experience with MS Outlook
- Experience with LCS Hull Mechanical And Electrical (HM&E) or Combat Systems logistics (preferred)
- Experience with Navy logistics, requisitions, receipt, inventory management
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- U.S. Navy Logistician experience and training
- Experience with the Navy's Planned Maintenance System
Physical Demands and Expectations:
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
