Pay rate: $20-30 hourly, depending on the position you are applying for and your experience

Responsibilities of a Lawn and Plant Care Technician
During the regular season, our hours are typically 7am to 5pm, M-F, with an occasional Saturday. You’ll be working independently, responsible for treating your customers’ lawns for weed and pest control for 10-20 properties each day. Services provided include:
- Lawn Fertilization
- Mosquito Control
- Tree and shrub protection
- Weed control
- Deep root / surface root feedings
- Bent grass control
- Springtime assistance with clean up, edging, mulching etc.
- Fall time assistance with leaf clean up
- Snow and ice control
- Stocking Truck and trailer with daily material
- Assisting in product/inventory monitoring & management
- Weekly inventory of in-house product & materials
- Regular maintenance of existing and future equipment on a weekly, monthly, yearly basis
- Use of Z-Spray equipment, hand cans, and backpack sprayers
- Maintain good customer relationships
- Fielding and responding to customer questions, concerns, or feedback in timely manner
- Making call-aheads as needed for your next day’s scheduled stops
- Assisting with in field sales efforts and up selling existing customers
- Generating new leads/customers to improve route density
Experience
We’re flexible on the number of years of experience for this role! We favor talent and interest. Some folks might get discouraged because they don’t have all the listed qualifications. - You are 18 years of age or older
- You have a valid Driver’s License
- Experience in lawn care applications a plus
- Experience using a Z-Spray
- Pass a basic reading and comprehension test
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- NYS Certified Pesticide Applicator license or able to obtain one within 12 months
- Must work well with teammates
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
