Comp Base Range: $27.00 -$32.00 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position is for a part-time (9-15 hours/week) law clerk for a 2nd or 3rd year law student in our Westminster, CO, headquarters facility during the spring 2025 semester. The primary responsibility will be to take the lead in implementing a contract and matter management software platform for the legal department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate with SaaS provider and REP IT department to implement the platform.
- Set up standard form contracts within system for self-service by team members.
- Develop contract workflows and implement authorization levels and signatory authority requirements for contract types.
- Develop post-execution workflows for deadlines and action reminders.
- Ingest historical contracts into system for AI analysis and data extraction; develop templates for desired metadata; conduct audits for accuracy.
- Develop contract playbook of standard terms and language acceptable to REP and configure system to analyze third-party documents for deviation and flagging of same.
- Create intranet interface for self-service legal education and materials for REP team members.
- Develop matter management workflows for non-contract issues such as negotiations, litigation, patent and trademark clearance searches, IP analysis projects, and other common requests of the legal department.
- Other legal projects as assigned and as time allows.
- Interest in intellectual property law a plus.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general legal business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental laws and regulations. Ability to write legal analysis memoranda, contracts, reports, legal and business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skill and interest in mastering, and facility to deep dive into, software programs through user interface functionality.
- Significant Excel or database platform experience and mindset desirable.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university.
- Presently attending ABA accredited law school in second or third year.
