The Role: Lateral Associate - Antitrust | Dallas, TX
We are seeking a highly qualified Lateral Associate to join an elite Antitrust and Competition team in Dallas, TX. Antitrust Expertise and Leadership
This role involves collaborating with one of the most prestigious teams in the legal field, known for its success in managing intricate antitrust cases across industries. The firm's Antitrust and Competition practice is globally recognized for:
- Civil Litigation Mastery: Representing clients in landmark cases involving monopolization, price-fixing, market allocation, and class actions.
- Government Enforcement Experience: Handling DOJ/FTC investigations, merger reviews, and criminal enforcement matters.
- Global Impact: Advising multinational corporations on cross-border compliance and regulatory challenges.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in navigating antitrust issues in sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy, and financial services.
In this position, you will:
- Litigate High-Stakes Cases: Represent clients in civil and criminal antitrust cases before federal and state courts, as well as administrative bodies.
- Handle Complex Investigations: Work on DOJ/FTC civil conduct investigations, merger reviews, and regulatory enforcement matters.
- Develop Strategic Solutions: Provide counsel on antitrust compliance, risk management, and regulatory strategies to prevent litigation.
- Draft Persuasive Legal Documents: Prepare motions, briefs, and other key litigation materials tailored to complex cases.
- Collaborate with Global Experts: Partner with multidisciplinary teams on international antitrust matters, ensuring seamless execution of strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:
Experience and Expertise
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience (law school class years 2018-2022) in antitrust litigation, government investigations, and compliance matters.
- Government or Enforcement Agency Experience: Preferred candidates will have worked with or have experience handling matters involving the DOJ or FTC, including merger reviews or conduct investigations.
Educational Credentials
- Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with exceptional academic performance.
Core Competencies
- Antitrust Acumen: Deep knowledge of antitrust laws, including the Sherman Act, Clayton Act, and FTC Act.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to design and execute effective legal strategies for complex, high-stakes cases.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior associates and work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.
- Client-Focused Service: Strong commitment to delivering tailored solutions for sophisticated clients in dynamic industries.
