Our growing company is seeking to hire a 2nd shift Laser Operator at our Wayland Michigan location.
This position has a unique schedule: One week will work 3 days p/week, the next week will work 4 days p/week -that gives you a 3-day weekend every other week. The scheduled hours are 6pm to 6am.
In addition to a great starting pay of at least $21 p/hour, for working 2nd shift you receive an additional $1.50/hour shift premium.

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities which include:
- Use hard gages and calipers to confirm part quality
- Utilize forklift and crane to load material into machine
- Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure premium part quality
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and typically set up multiple jobs per day
- Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications
- Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions
- Work with little direction (other than standard procedures)
- Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser
- Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy
- Knowledge of tubular steel manufacturing and fabrication processes is a PLUS!
