Job Description:
- Plan setup of machining by studying blueprints, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
- Set up details based on zero and reference points, setting tool offsets, and compensation, as needed.
- Use of crane to set up details.
- Verifies milled, drilled, and bored dimensions based on requirements. Maintains specifications by observing operations taking measurements as needed, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting, and reprogramming controls, sharpening, and replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Helps in maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills and Requirements:
- Candidate must be able to plan set up for machining by studying blueprints, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters. All programming will be provided for each project. However, all sets up including identifying reference (zero edges) and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches will be required by the machine operator.
- Candidate must be able to verify all milled, drilled, and bored dimensions based on requirements.
- Adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening, and replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Self-motivated.
This position is a Day Shift (7 AM-5 PM) Position paid weekly with very competitive benefits.
