Job Title: Landscape Construction PM/Estimator
Location: Downingtown, PA
About the Job: The Landscape Construction PM/Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and design teams to ensure precise and competitive bids. The Estimator must understand the scope of work, identify potential issues, and communicate effectively to develop solutions. Additionally, the Estimator will manage the process from initial contact with clients through to final invoicing, working closely with clients, suppliers, and operations team to gather accurate information, negotiate prices, and support the overall growth and success of our landscape construction division, through bidding on residential communities, commercial properties, parks, municipal projects, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
•Once a project reaches contract stage, you would be responsible to buyout all materials, negotiating with suppliers, & managing the project alongside one of our field superintendents.
•Estimate & create proposals for incoming opportunities.
•Following the sales process from start to finish.
•Coordinating both short-term & long-term scheduling alongside existing management staff.
•Assist in personnel management, employee safety, & training.
•Build relationships with both existing & new customers.
Minimum requirements & capabilities:
•Horticultural knowledge
•Working knowledge of irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls
•Working knowledge of drainage methods
•Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape projects
•Knowledge of the construction industry
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
•Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and in a fast-moving environment.
•Ability to maintain company and client confidential information.
•Excellent driving record
Qualifications:
•Minimum of five years of experience in the landscape/construction industry.
•Landscape Contracting Degree or Similar Qualification preferred
•Must have a valid driver's license.
•Must be willing and able to work in all outdoor weather conditions all year round
•Must be willing and able to work 45 hours or more per week when requested
•Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays when requested
•OSHA-10 Certification strongly valued
•Proficient in sales
•Proficient in outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel
