Landscape Laborer - 4 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 04/01/2025-12/15/2025
Employer: TL Landscape Masonry & Paint 790 Hickory Rd. Southold, NY 11970.
Duties: MOWING OF LAWNS, CLEANING OF LEAVES, TRIMMING OF SHRUBS, TREE & SHRUB PLANTINGS, SPREADING OF MULCH & TOPSOIL, WEEDING OF BEDS.
No education or experience required.
Work days: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, 35 hours/week at $21.87/hour. Possible OT up to 10 hours at $32.81/hour.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer does not envision other workforce wide payroll deductions.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, beginning with the 1st work day after worker arrival at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date of the job order or its extension, if any. The employer may include all hours actually worked as well as any hours offered consistent with the job order that a worker chooses not to work, up to the max number of daily hours on the job order.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts. Transportation reimbursements based on worker's actual cost, not to exceed the most economical common carrier transportation costs for the distances involved.
If worker separation is due to voluntary abandonment, the employer will not be responsible for providing or paying return transpiration and subsistence expense and the worker is not entitled to the full 3/4 guarantee.
