Landscape Estimator & Designer will satisfy client requests to renovate and enhance the appearance, usefulness, and sustainability of commercial properties. Designs should incorporate cost-effective strategies, water use reduction and sustainability initiatives while enhancing curb appeal. Project sites range from HOAs, large-scale class A office campuses to industrial facilities and retail centers.
*RESPONSIBILITIES of a Landscape Estimator & Designer will include, but not limited to:
- Design, estimate and proposal generation, to include but not limited to:
- Tenant improvements (entries, monuments, courtyards, amenity areas)
- Turf conversion designs and proposals, budgets and phasing strategies
- Resolve minor issues with drainage, paving, retaining walls, etc.
- Design imaging, ROI calculations
- Project coordination for successful execution of approved projects, hand-off to install team.
- Coordination with current landscape designers to understand current practices and develop current systems
- Collaboration with Branch and Account Managers to target approved budgets and pipeline revenue streams, which includes:
- Attending weekly construction meetings at select branches
- Developing client budgets
Are you the right fit for this role?
*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE that are necessary as Landscape Estimator & Designer will include, but not limited to:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required in a related field such as: Environmental Design, Horticulture, Environmental Science and Sustainability, etc
- Experienced in estimating, designing and developing proposals
- Must have working knowledge and experience in one or more of the following design software programs: Adobe Photoshop, ProLandscape, RealTime Landscape, OST, Go-I-Lawn or similar
- 2 years+ of project management experience preferably in landscape construction
- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, technical skills and visualization skills
- Horticultural knowledge of common plant varieties and their use in the landscape.
- Understanding of irrigation systems, drainage, and common hardscape products.
- Sound time management and organizational skills with a strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal verbal & written skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with internal partners and external clients
