We are on the lookout for a dynamic and creative Landscape Architect to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be involved in a variety of projects, ranging from urban design to green infrastructure. You will be working with a team of talented professionals, contributing your expertise to design, plan and execute innovative and sustainable landscape solutions. If you are passionate about creating meaningful outdoor spaces and have a flair for design, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive plans and visual presentations for each project including site plans, grading plans, landscape architecture, and hardscape designs.
2. Utilize Civil 3D to create detailed designs and models, ensuring all designs comply with governing codes and regulations.
3. Design a variety of elements including paved surfaces, site furnishings, fixtures, and planting designs to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including engineers, architects, and planners to ensure project success.
5. Incorporate sustainable and green infrastructure practices into every project, promoting environmental responsibility.
6. Conduct site analyses, including the assessment of site conditions, the identification of site opportunities and constraints, and the analysis of site influence on the design of the project.
7. Participate in all phases of the project, from initial concept through construction and project completion.
8. Engage in placemaking, creating unique spaces that foster community engagement and reflect the local culture and identity.
9. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, site plans, and related documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on site design, urban design, and green infrastructure.
3. Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
4. Strong knowledge of plants, materials, and construction techniques.
5. Familiarity with governing codes and regulations related to landscape architecture.
6. Exceptional design skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creativity and technical expertise.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license is preferred but not required.
10. A passion for sustainability and creating spaces that enhance the quality of life for those who use them.
