Job Details
We are seeking a seasoned Landlord/Tenant Litigation Associate to join our growing legal team. This is a position for an individual with a strong background in landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosure, evictions, and both commercial and residential real estate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, where revenue sharing, no billable requirement, and a commitment to being one of the best places to work are key aspects of our firm's culture.
Responsibilities:
1. Representing clients in landlord/tenant disputes, including but not limited to eviction proceedings, lease negotiations, and breach of lease cases.
2. Handling all phases of foreclosure proceedings, from initial filing to final judgment and sale.
3. Advising clients on commercial and residential real estate matters, including purchase and sale transactions, financing, and property management.
4. Conducting trials, mediations, and arbitrations, and presenting oral arguments before state and federal courts.
5. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
6. Participating in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and client meetings.
7. Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to landlord/tenant law, foreclosure, and real estate.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in landlord/tenant litigation, foreclosure, evictions, and real estate law.
4. Proven trial experience, with a track record of successful outcomes.
5. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that protects clients' interests.
6. Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
9. Familiarity with revenue sharing and no billable requirement models.
10. Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and rewarding work environment.
