Lactation Consultant RN - Childbirth at Community Medical Center

This is a part time (0.4 - 0.6 Status), Day shift Lactation Consultant RN position in the Childbirth department.

 The Lactation Consultant is responsible for inpatient and outpatient needs for the lactating patient. Will be responsible for interview, assessment, and interventions to include education and training with patients. Will be available for consultations with Staff, Medical Staff, and patients concerning drug or other substances and their compatibility with breast feeding. Will be responsible for billing outpatient visits. 

Minimum Requirements: RN License required. IBCLC preferred at hire; required within 1 year If applicant does not have IBCLC at hire. Must complete CLC training course within 3 months of hire. BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire, and NRP within six (6) months of hire. Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required. 

Preferred/Desired: BSN Preferred. Prefer recent experience to include Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, or NICU.

Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend.
