Shift Details: 8:30AM - 4:45PM
DESCRIPTION:
Reports to NAM Senior Portfolio or Collection Manager
Works independently and manages multiple projects - both short term and ongoing - on a deadline basis
Responsible for Sweet Goods and Beverage applications preparation or production of bench top and pilot lab prototypes
Ability to make a variety of relevant Sweet Goods and Beverages prototypes throughout the evaluation process
Conducts collection evaluations
Maintain current applications formulations, raw materials and quality specifications using current computer systems
Application of flavors and evaluation in various Sweet Goods and Beverage products
Maintains and applies good laboratory practices Profile:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or food science or food technology or related science is required
1-2 years of experience in flavor applications or food product development is a plus
Proficient in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Knowledge of commercial food or beverage processing, sensory testing, and use of functional ingredients is a plus
Strong communication, computer and organizational skills
Ability to work as a part of a team and individually with minimal oversight
Proficient in MS Office with fluency in English language - both written and verbal
Knowledge of Commercial food & Beverage processing
