Shift Time: Work Hours M-F 7:30AM-4:30PM with 1 Hour Lunch or 7:30AM-4:00PM with 30 min lunch

Job Description:

Contract Technician for a fixed term to work on an approved project. Focus on Attention to Detail. Prior lab experience is not required, however a strong candidate would have either lab experience or experience following a recipe (like cooking) and experience following test instructions and recording data.
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
Duties usually consist of following batch tickets, making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
Assists Chemists in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.
Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
This is an entry-level position.
Typically requires a high school education, associates degree or equivalent and no prior experience.
