Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Required,
Work in a nationally accredited third-party testing laboratory providing high value vibro-acoustic testing to a global customer base. We are looking for an outstanding individual who will support several high-volume functional areas within our laboratory. This position performs accurate and precise measurement and analysis of vibro-acoustic energy for applications in appliance, aerospace, construction, transportation, automotive, and HVAC. This position primarily supports product development activities for the client in Granville, OH. While this role currently being filled is a contractor role with a two-year expiration, there is potential for future full-time employment should a role become available and determined to be a good fit
Reports to: Acoustic Research Center Lab Leader
Span of Control: Individual Contributor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Living Safely
Participates in regular safety meetings and safety audits
Ensures rigorous compliance to standard safety procedures and OC corporate policies
Focuses on sustaining a safe work environment for self, team, and coworkers.
Small and full-scale testing of materials including:
Provide sample preparation
Material movement from storage to test
Unit prepare/removal of test units
Preparing reports
Creating test procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree
Detail Oriented
Proficiency employing typical productivity software such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); experienced in working with spreadsheets.
Ability to frequently lift 50lbs
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Degree in science or engineering
Experience in fiberglass and/or mineral wool insulation products and manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment related to preparation, formulating, and testing product samples.
Hands-on experience in developing new test equipment and test methods.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to interact and relate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to develop an understanding of end-user, specifier, fabricator, and OC manufacturing needs.
Good communication skills to report out results and observations.
Demonstrated ability to safely adapt thinking and trial plans to the demands of the moment in a high-pressure environment.
Able to understand a broad range of technical issues.
Learning of test methods and flexibility to adapt based on guidance by scientists and engineers.
