Description:
- The schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am- 5:00 pm (the schedule can be a little flexible with a start time (half an hour early or later). Workers must stay until all their tasks are finished so the end time may change slightly).
- All PPE is provided.
- To be successful in this role, candidates must have good computer skills.
The extrusion display panel technician performs basic technical tests on products and samples. Primary responsibility will be preparing, filling, and shipping color panel requests. Primary responsibilities include preparing, filing, and shipping color panel requests. Other responsibilities will include analyzing materials and samples, performing basic calculations, and cleaning and maintaining the lab. Must be able to squat, lift, bend, and go up and down stairs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• Perform packaging and daily shipping for department, and Color Science Lab.
• Pull and file production and lab retain as needed for requests.
• Pull and file stock panels needed for online panel requests.
• Perform spray application for solvent based coil coatings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Spray stock panels for inventory.
• Understand processes regarding tasks and requests.
• Perform packaging and shipment of customer samples.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, and other conditions found in laboratory environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory Skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis
• Ability to learn software used in lab.
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
• Must pay attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and work with a team.
