About the Role: As a Laboratory Technician I, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely test results. You will work effectively with all team members to ensure that our customers receive on-time and accurate delivery of test results and services in alignment with our quality system requirements.

About the Role: As a Laboratory Technician I, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely test results. You will work effectively with all team members to ensure that our customers receive on-time and accurate delivery of test results and services in alignment with our quality system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and prepare/process all customer samples for analytical testing according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Basic understanding of testing requirements and concepts
- Basic knowledge in Titration, and gravimetric testing
- Responsible for oils, tissue fat, feed and various matrices
- Functions as an analyst for data analysis and entry
- Taking daily temperature readings and assisting with supplies inventories
- Maintaining lipid chemistry labs in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
- Perform daily QC checks of balance, solvent dispensers, micro-pipettes and calibrate them weekly or when necessary
- Cleaning glassware, solvent disposal, and reagent preparation.
- Maintain accurate records for traceability
- Prepare essential laboratory reagents
- Responsible for calibration and verification of specific equipment and their accompanying records
Following a 30-day introductory training period, the individual will -
Pass at least 1 of the following test batches for at least 3 lipids methods in at least 2 laboratory matrices:
- 1 PT (External or Internal)
- IDOC – Blank and 4 laboratory control samples (blank spikes)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific field
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience
- Familiarity with ISO17025 accreditation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

- Required to wear appropriate safety equipment, including lab coat and gloves
- Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek
- Laboratory hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST; Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST
- Some flexibility in scheduling is permitted
