Job Summary and Qualifications
Supervises the performance of Laboratory personnel within specialized sections of the clinical laboratory. Orients and trains within these sections and performs testing as needed. Performs duties with a perceptive depth of clinical laboratory tests and procedures, which require the exercise of independent judgement and responsibility. Thorough knowledge of CAP, TJC, CLIA regulations. Assists Manager and /or Director with projects as needed.
What you will do in this role:
- · Supervises workflow and staff; educates and trains employees, maintains daily work schedule.
- · Evaluates reagents, equipment, new test methods, QA and PI data.
- · Has thorough knowledge of CAP, TJC, CLIA regulations as each relates to Laboratory functions.
- · Participates in employee evaluations.
- · Ensures that all policies and procedures are performed as defined in section policy and procedure manuals approved by the Medical Director of the Laboratory.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Lab Scientist
- 3 years’ experience is required
- ASCP or AMT Certification is required
