The People
As a Quality Control Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of QC professionals and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams. You'll play a critical role in fostering a culture of compliance, teamwork, and operational excellence within the laboratory.
The Tech and What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the operation of the Quality Control laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Generate regular reports on product and process quality by analyzing and summarizing data trends.
- Oversee daily laboratory activities and workflows to meet operational goals.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the QC team.
- Manage calibration, maintenance, and service agreements for laboratory equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve instrument issues; coordinate repairs with external vendors.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
- Keep laboratory procedures up to date and aligned with industry standards.
- Oversee documentation and certification processes in compliance with MIL-STD-883 adhesive standards.
The Skills You Will Need
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in quality control:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience as a leader managing direct reports.
- Proven expertise working within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Proficiency in reporting quality metrics and utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong technical skills in operating laboratory measuring and testing equipment.
