Requirements:
- The lab manager would be responsible for key operational activities needed to support the team of scientists working in the lab.
- The key lab duties and requirements we anticipate are as follows:
- Laboratory Manager key duties:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory and associated equipment, software
- Ensure that the laboratory meets all applicable Environmental, Health and Safety regulations for handling and disposing of reagents/samples
- Ensure all equipment calibrated, operational and coordinate with Site Technical Operations to organize equipment repairs and maintenance
- Train employees on the use of lab equipment and procedures
- Coordinate the work of laboratory technicians and scientists, as it relates to scheduling lab and equipment use
- Plan and oversee the laboratory's budget, including purchases of equipment, software and supplies
- Coordinate and organize shipment of reagents/samples within the US and outside the US as needed
- Monitor and control inventory levels of supplies and materials needed for the operation of the laboratory
- Prepare reports on the activities of the laboratory as required by management or regulatory agencies
- Keep abreast of new developments in the field of research and incorporate them into the lab's operations as appropriate
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in laboratory management and/or operational experience in related field
