Laboratory Assistant - New York Blood Center Inc

This position is responsible for supporting the assigned business unit by performing laboratory assignments.

• Maintains cleanliness of laboratory preparation areas and equipment.
• Follows maintenance and cleaning SOPs and keeps work areas clean on a daily basis.
• Follows all SOPs, guidelines, practices, and regulations when conducting work.
• Assists staff and order and restock supplies and data entry when required.
• Labels, ships and packages products.
• Performs visual inspection of products.
• Performs general administrative duties such as filing, copying, and faxing.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

One year of experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

All salaries are pursuant to Local 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Rate: $21.1282 Per Hour
